If I sign up with Emergo how long will it take for me to receive my card reader?
Once you’ve been accepted by your acquirer and everything is in place, we’ll send you an email to let you know your terminal is on its way; please allow a few working days for it to arrive.
How do I set it up?
You’ll have a copy of our A920 user guide which will allow you to understand how to set up and use our card machine, and also help you with any troubleshooting help that you require.
Which bank will be handling my payments?
We work with a couple of different banks including, Lloyds Cardnet, Netpay, and Paynt.
What types of card machines are on offer?
We provide Pax A920 portable card readers, that allow you to be agile in your operations. We also provide countertop card machines for small businesses that just need a reliable and secure way to be able to accept card payments and contactless payments at the counter. Will my card machine work both online and offline?
Yes, you’ll be able to accept payments both offline and online. Our mobile card payment machine allows for advanced connectivity allowing you to take payments anytime, anywhere.
How long does it take to settle funds in my bank account?
It takes 2 days for settlements to kick in, and then you get daily settlements from 2 days before each day. We offer next-day settlement options. You can speak to your sales representative to discuss this.
How long is my contract?
We offer a range of contract lengths. When you request a quote, our sales team will discuss pricing and contract length with you to ensure that it meets your needs.
What are your card processing fees?
The fees you pay for each debit or credit card transaction are known as card processing fees. Your fees will be tailored to your company’s needs. We offer some of the lowest card terminal fees around. Please contact us for a personalised quote.
What types of payments can I accept with Emergo’s card readers?
You can accept Visa, Mastercard, VPay, Maestro, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Diners Club, and American Express.
Who do I contact for help?
You’ll have access to a Customer Success Manager and in addition, you’ll be able to contact a UK-dedicated help desk to help you with any other issues or queries you have. This comes at no added cost to you.
Our payment specialists in customer service can assist you with your account and how-to questions. Our technical UK support desk is open every day. We answer questions, solve problems, and troubleshoot software and hardware
Are the card readers you provide secure?
Our card readers follow the Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) standards. Transaction data is encrypted from the moment your customer enters their information until it is transmitted to the payment process. Once received, the payment process decrypts the data and completes the transaction.

What types of EPOS terminals do you offer?
We offer portable EPOS systems allowing business owners to take both orders and payments from anywhere, perfect for hospitality businesses. We also provide fixed EPOS terminals. Get in touch with a member of our friendly and helpful sales representative about which EPOS terminal is right for you.
Will my EPOS terminal be able to integrate with my card machine terminal?
Emergo EPOS seamlessly integrates with Emergo’s card readers. If you have a card machine from a different provider get in touch with a member of our sales representative and they’ll be able to advise you on how they can help you.
Can I also purchase a cash drawer to handle cash payments?
You can purchase cash drawers, receipts printers, kitchen receipt printers, and more at an added cost. Contact one of our sales advisors for any additional accessories you may require.
What pricing/contract options do you offer?
Monthly, fully upfront, and upfront + monthly combinations are available for our EPOS terminals. We also offer a range of contracts. Please speak with a sales representative who will provide you with the best option for you and your business.
Do you offer a next-day settlement?
The 2-day settlement, weekly settlement, and next-day settlement options are available. Next-day settlement charges may apply and are determined on the approval of your application with the chosen payment processing provider. Typically this is 21p a day with Lloyds and free with Clover. T&Cs apply.
How do I get started?

How do I set up my EPOS system?
The setup for your EPOS till system is done in-house. Your customer success representative will help you with your setup. We configure your EPOS system, deliver it to you, and offer training and help. If you need to speak with onboarding please contact onboarding@emergouk.co.uk
Can I receive training on how to use my EPOS till?
Yes! We provide free training on how to use your EPOS system. Not only that but you’ll have access to our Register Manual to guide you on how to use the back office and front till and to help with any troubleshooting issues you may encounter.

We aim to be among the top EPOS providers in the UK. That’s why you’ll have access to a Customer Success Manager and in addition, you’ll be able to contact a UK-dedicated help desk to help you with any other issues or queries you have. This comes at no added cost to you.

What are the costs associated with your online ordering platform Go Eat?
Go Eat has been created to be among the cheapest online ordering platform. It’s free and we have a low 2.4% + 20p transaction fee. We do not charge you high fees like other providers. Instead, use an online ordering platform that allows you to create your customised store that matches your brand, has 0% commission, no hidden costs, and requires no contract!
Does Go Eat provide drivers?
Go Eat does not provide you with drivers. Our online ordering platform is incredibly cheap. Other platforms typically charge you 30% of your takings for this privilege. Our online ordering system enables you to afford your own drivers with the money you save or provide collection-only services. This not only gives you control over your delivery services, but it also means your business can provide the best customer service possible.
Will Emergo construct the online store for me?
Go Eat has been designed so that you can easily design your digital online store yourself. You can add in menu items, product modifiers, and fulfilment information via the back office. Delivery/service charges and other vital information can also be added in with a few simple clicks. Your T&Cs or logo can be uploaded with no hassle whatsoever. The system is fully managed by the business and has been built to be managed effortlessly.

What is Emergo’s contactless loyalty?
The customer loyalty solution we offer converts customer payment cards and devices into loyalty cards, eliminating the need for separate loyalty cards or paper stamp cards. It is contactless. This means there’s no need to shell out to create a fancy app that your customer has to download and you have to keep upgrading. In fact, there’s not much effort required on your part at all. You just have to decide whether you want to install it and once you’ve done that, we do the rest.
Our loyalty programme also has a gamification feature. This is where you set games to appear for customers that offer the chance of a reward. This creates excitement for the customer and can offer a discount for repeat visits prompting increased return rates.
With Emergo contactless loyalty, you can decide what incentive to give and when to give it. You can run as many brand loyalty campaigns as you want, whenever you want. Features also include access to invaluable insights to analyse which loyalty campaign is working best and customer loyalty campaigns can be customised to match your branding.
How much does your contactless customer loyalty solution cost?
Our contactless loyalty programme comes as a free add-on with our payment systems. We simply take a percentage of any discount you apply.

I want to upgrade my card machine to a full EPOS system and discuss with someone about some of the other products you have on offer. How do I do this?
You’ll have access to a dedicated Customer Success Manager to discuss any upgrade you want with your systems. You may want to upgrade from an Emergo card machine to a full EPOS system. You may want to learn more about some of our other products to see if it is right for your business. If so, our Customer Success Manager will be able to advise on what is best or answer any other queries you have or issues you want help resolving.
